The 2015 Wexford Motor Show

Motor fans rejoyce

Motor fans and those looking for a new set of wheels were treated to an extraordinary display of wheels and deals on Saturday, June 13, during the 2015 Wexford Motor Show.

This year's show featured 18 franchised dealers and 124 new vehicles plus 50 light commercials, as well as a large contingent from the Sports and Classic Car Club. Bolands Wexford were there to showcase an unbeatable range of 152 Ford passenger cars and commercial vehicles including the Ford Fiesta, Focus and the all-new Mondeo as well as the award winning Transit family.

The show took place on the town's Quayfront, between Wexford Bridge and the Crescent Quay boasting more than 100 vintage and classic vehicles, ensuring there was a little something to suit everyone

The Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI), which helps to run the event in partnership with the Road Safety Authority, the car club and the council, says the Quayfront is perfectly suited to this type of event. And it showed, with over 10,000 people in attendance during the show.

While the emphasis at the show was on new and classic cars, there was also an abundance of attractions for families too.

The family entertainment area, centred on the Cresent Quay, included face painting, a climbing wall and a rally simulator. At the other end of the Quays, next to Wexford Bridge, The Road Safety Authority provided their road show vehicle and a roll-over simulator, as part of a road safety awareness campaign on the day.

And what a day it was. We look forward to doing it all again next year.
